Irving Canner, President
A Certified Public Accountant, Irv is the Director of Finance at the Pease Development Authority. A board member since 2016, Irv brings his finance expertise and leadership skills to SFP. He is a host site volunteer and is committed to our mission. Irv is the father of two adult children and lives in Greenland with his wife Victoria, who is the Reading Specialist at the Greenland Central School.
Judy George, Vice President
The future and education of children is Judy’s passion. She holds a Master in Elementary Education from UNH and has taught in New Hampshire public schools for 29 years. A board member since 2016, Judy has worn many hats, starting as a host site coordinator for the Stratham Community Church in 2005. Judy is the mother of three and lives in Stratham with her husband Ken.
Judith Clark, Secretary
Judy brings a strong belief in the SFP program, having spent years as a certified trainer with the national Bridges Out of Poverty program. Judy is committed to helping under resourced individuals move out of poverty. A board member since 2012, Judy is an overnight host and prepares meals for our guests at Bethany Church. Judy is the mother of two adult children and a grandmother who makes her home in Rye Beach with her husband Dave.
Ken George, Treasurer
Ken is a Certified Public Accountant and consultant, as well as the principal of FINOP Services, LLC. A board member since 2016, Ken heads up the SFP Facilities Committee and was instrumental in the renovation of our new Day Center. Additionally, Ken volunteers at our Stratham Community Church host site. A father of three, Ken lives in Stratham with his wife Judy.
As Director of Client Engagement for Usource LLC, an energy consulting firm helping large consumers of electricity and natural gas to reduce their costs, Maureen (Moe) has built up a significant network of business leaders throughout New England. A board member since 2018, Moe is helping to build recognition of the work of SFP and developing investors within the business community. Moe, a resident of Exeter, has two grown sons and has a passion for high summits, stealth photography and old trucks.
Diane Charney is a retired Human Resources professional with over 25 years in the utility industry. A board member since 2015, Diane joined the board to support families who are struggling and to work with like-minded individuals. She brings a variety of community resources and contacts to SFP. Diane, a mother and grandmother, lives in Hampton with her husband Marty.
Richard brings a distinguished, 30-year career serving and advocating for disadvantaged populations, including; families and individuals with disabilities, healthcare consumers, seniors, children and adolescents, and the homeless. He recently relocated to New Hampshire to be near family and to continue his passion for being of service. Richard has four adult children and four (soon to be five) grandchildren. He lives in Exeter with his wife, Kater.
Eric is the Managing Director of Estate Planners of New England, LLC. and joined the board in 2017 to share his skills to help families realize their life goals while in the program. A medal winning Olympian in speed skating, Eric understands what it means to persevere and never give up. He lives in Stratham with his wife Marci and their three children.
Susan is the Marketing Director for a major engineering firm. A board member since 2016, she uses her vast background to help build the community presence of SFP by enhancing the program’s ability to increase community awareness. The mother of a grown daughter, Susan makes her home in Rye.
John is a school psychologist for SAU 16. A board member since 2016, he cares deeply about the mental and emotional health of local youth. In addition to volunteering as an overnight host, John is an avid runner and sailor. A father of two, John lives in Brentwood with his wife Nancy.
