Irving Canner, President
A Certified Public Accountant, Irv is the Director of Finance at the Pease Development Authority. A board member since 2016, Irv brings his finance expertise and leadership skills to SFP. He is a host site volunteer and is committed to our mission. Irv is the father of two adult children and lives in Greenland with his wife Victoria, who is the Reading Specialist at the Greenland Central School.
Judy George, Vice President
Judy recently retired after 31 years as a NH public school teacher which allows her to be more involved with Seacoast Family Promise, her church and other local organizations. She holds a Masters in Elementary Education from UNH. A board member since 2016, Judy has worn many hats, starting as a host site coordinator for the Stratham Community Church in 2005. Judy is the mother of three, lives in Stratham with her husband Ken and enjoys spending time outdoors in Warren, VT.
Ken George, Treasurer
Ken has served on the SFP board as Treasurer since 2017. For 20 years, he has owned and operated a consulting business, FINOP Services, LLC. Ken’s finance background and “do-it-yourself” project experience will benefit SFP in purchasing and maintaining its facilities. Ken is father of three and lives in Stratham with his wife Judy and two dogs.
Diane Charney is a retired Human Resources professional with over 25 years in the utility industry. A board member since 2015, Diane joined the board to support families who are struggling and to work with like-minded individuals. She brings a variety of community resources and contacts to SFP. Diane, a mother and grandmother, lives in Hampton with her husband Marty.
Susan is the Marketing Director for a major engineering firm. A board member since 2016, she uses her vast background to help build the community presence of SFP by enhancing the program’s ability to increase community awareness. The mother of a grown daughter, Susan makes her home in Rye.
John Potter joined the board in 2016 after a period of volunteering as an SFP overnight host at Christ Church in Exeter. He is energized by the many success stories at SFP and believes that everyone has the ability to overcome difficult times if given the right support and a sense of community. He is employed as a school psychologist in SAU 16 and resides in Exeter with his wife Nancy and two children.
Mark recently retired and has been a Seacoast Resident for the last 38 years. Mark has two daughters and currently resides in Hampton with his wife Elizabeth. Mark was the founder and owner of OnBrand24, which employed over 800 people. Mark hopes to use his business experience to assist SFP's families to gain a strong foothold into the community as well as introduce SFP and it's work to local business.
Molly is a retired school counselor/teacher with over 30 years service in the Exeter and Hampton Falls school districts. She is passionate about advocating for children and helping them to discover their true potential. Molly lives in North Hampton with her husband, Matt and has one adult daughter.
Jared is a recent addition to the Seacoast Family Promise board joining in 2020. He has over twenty years experience in investment advisory and consulting, for the past 14 years working at the Portsmouth based firm Prime Buchholz LLC. Jared has three sons and lives with his wife Danielle in Hampton.
